Whilst Bitcoin is the King of Cryptocurrency there are many Alternative Crytpto currencies (Alt Coins) that can be brought and sold on coin exchanges.

In simple terms think of it just like the stock exchange, only instead of shares, you are buying and selling cryptocurrency.

Unlike the share market, coin exchanges  never close. You can trade 7 days a week, 24 hours a day on a variety of exchanges.. There are many coin exchanges available and each one has it's own selection of crypto. Not all exchanges trade all coins and as there are many alt coins with more being released weekly, this is understandable. 

We deal with 3 exchanges that we trust, find easy to use, but obviously it is a personal preference and below you will find the main players in the game.

The advantage of trading on exchanges is that unlike shares you can purchase much smaller amounts and can start with as little as $50 to get your feet wet.

Each exchange stores your coins in wallets within your account with their own deposit address. We advise strongly if dealing with larger amounts that you never keep these on any exchange but rather transfer to your appropriate wallet. Nothing is ever guaranteed and establishing secure trading practices such as moving coins off the trading platform and back on when wanting to trade is a good practice to get into.

We have made considerable profit trading and there is a wealth of information available on youtube on how to trade. Everyone has their own strategies. Some like to purchase initial coin releases whilst others trade the big players in the market like Btc, Ethereum, Dash etc.

We can't advise you either way. Trading coins can be a profitable pass time but is also very volatile. There really is no avenue for fear or uncertainty. The markets can rise and fall quite rapidly and we suggest doing your research on the coins/tokens you invest in. Subsribe to some  traders on you tube for tips hints and strategies and then select what makes you feel the most comfortable. We all have our own ways of doing things.
